NEED SOME BEAUTY IN MY LIFE

It's been a really hard few days recently, and it makes me just want to get away from everything.  Got me looking into some photos from the Quabbin Reservoir where I live.

It's amazing how beautiful nature is, and this is right here!  I took this picture on Memorial Day in 2009.  I've always wanted to use it somehow, maybe blow it up and frame it, but I never got around to it.  Doesn't it look like I'm on an island somewhere?  This must be one of the best pictures I've ever taken.  I may get over there before the winter is in full swing, but with the tornado in June and the snowstorm in Oct, I have no idea what it looks like there now!

FIRST POST

I've decided to start off this blog with a picture of what I consider one of the most beautiful sights in the world.  No matter your mood, taking a good look does wonders, at least for me.

This was taken by me on July 26th, 2011 at Watch Hill, RI.  This picture is great in many ways: obviously the sunset, the way it shines on the ocean, and the boats.  Marinas are awesome...I just get a little depressed sometimes when I see huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge yachts.  If I could afford one, I'd totally live on it!  But I would settle for something small, like the ones in the picture.  Being out on the ocean is so peaceful, it doesn't really matter how you're there.
